Song School and Folks Fest this year were mercifully cool. It made for a really great creative week hanging out with friends, playing songs, eating ice cream, playing songs, writing songs, eating ice cream, hanging out by the river, eating ice cream. You get the picture. My favorite Folks Fest set this year was definitely Seth Walker– some killer, gritty, blues inflected songs. I really dug his set.
And the summer heat is back, so I’m down in the basement typing, staying cool, picking a few tunes, and thinking about fall.
This Friday it’s a full band show at Roxy on Broadway in Denver with the Teresa Storch Band and All Through The Night. It’s $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the show, so get on it!! Tickets are here. It’s gonna be an awesome night. I’m really excited to play with these two bands and the Roxy is a great little room, so you should definitely come on out.
September 12 me and the fellas will be doing our trio thing in Boulder at the Local, and on September 24 I’ll be back in Lyons for my first hometown show in a loooong time. That’s at Oskar Blues.
More things are in the works, including a single release sometime this fall, so stay tuned by joining the email list. You’ll also get some specials on merch just for folks on email!
In the meantime- there’s new merch! Do you need a hat? Or a coffee mug? Or a new t-shirt?
You know you do- hit up the shop for some new fun stuff. Maybe get a present for a special friend?
