Ah February- the shortest of months.
While the ground is frozen and snow keeps flying, underneath things are starting to move. I’m slowly pulling the pieces (and people) together for a new band. I’ve moved from nervous to excited on that front, which is always a good sign, and a few things started to move this week, which always helps me keep my momentum.
The new record is slowly, veeeeeerrrrrryyyyy slowly, taking shape, and pretty soon I’ll start working on some of the things you gotta do to get ready to put a record out in the world. Stay tuned, we should have some teasers ready to go in another month or so.
And, there are always songs to write and songs to learn. Have you listened to Lori McKenna‘s new record “The Tree?” New as in last year, that is. I’ve been spinning it over and over again, and working up a few songs as covers. I was messing around this morning with the song “Young and Angry Again”, which is awesome. So, with no consideration for how my hair looks, here ya go.
