Well, either spring has sprung early or Climate Change is gonna kill us all. Maybe something in the middle…who knows.
I’ve been writing songs and messing around with synching audio with video, in the hopes that I’ll be able to kick out some videos this year with higher sound quality. I’m not there yet. I think it’s gonna take a whole new layer of messing with software. I like that kind of learning, but it can be horrifically time consuming and frustrating. As a DIY musician I’ve got to make some calculations about what it’s worth to spend money and time on something, and for the moment it’s not that.
But there are a bunch of dates lined up for North Central Colorado starting in April. I’ll be up in Nederland, then Estes Park in April and May, up to Swing Station in LaPorte in June, then Greely and Jamestown in July. I’m still filling in gigs, so check the Shows page for the up to date calendar, and add yourself to the email list (big red box on your right) to get the latest info.
As I’m messing with video I’ve been recording a few new songs, but I also recorded a few covers that I really enjoy playing, like this one by Guy Clark and Verlon Thompson. I got this song off Guy Clark’s “Keepers” record, which is awesome and you should get it.
Hope to see you at a show.
