I know it's a bad coffee joke, but that's kinda on brand don't ya think?
After a little ‘end of the month/beginning of the month’ getaway it's back to work here in Colorado. This Saturday we're at The Lion's Lair in Denver with our friends White Rose Motor Oil and All Through the Night. It will be an alt-country lalapalooza! I don't know about you, but if it weren't for music I would be totally nuts right now. The world is completely bonkers right now, and there are days where that feels really heavy to me. Maybe you too? So I'm grateful to get to go play some music with John and Derek and Andy and the folks in other bands. Right now my personal playlist seems to vacillate between Toms- Tom Waites and Tom Morello. Both have their uses, but I've been working un Tom Waites' ‘Come on Up to the House’ recently. I needed something to sing that was a bit more uplifting. Music can do that. At least it does for me. What are your uplifting songs right now? I hope you have some. In more fun news, along with patches and buttons, I got tattoos! Pretty excited for those. If you come to the Lion's Lair on Saturday I'll give you one for free- if you just have to have some, they're in the store.
