This is the Seinfeld of blog posts. Its about nothing.
I mean, not nothing. But I hate trying to come up with some sort of ‘headline’ that makes it sound more exciting than it is. You know all those bands posting ‘big things’ or ‘new announcement’ or ‘buy our branded socks’ (do you want socks? I could make socks…note for later).
This is Olive to your left, doing nothing, except wondering when lunch will be served.

Of course things are happening. It's spring, trees are getting a little green. I'm thinking about gardening. What snow we had is melting. We had a ball playing at the Magic Rat last week. I did ski this morning. I'm playing a few gigs in April. We're planning an album release. We have ringside seats for the apocalypse. I'm trying to tweak stuff on the internet so folks will actually see things. I've written a few songs this year (see below). It's the normal stuff.

Tomorrow I'm playing Easter brunch at the Jamestown Mercantile. Easter or no, it's the best mountain spot for Sunday brunch in Northern Colorado (maybe anywhere?).
On the 16th I'm joining a songwriter night up in FoCo at Maya Cove hosted by Braydon Peterson and his group Great American Nowhere. Songwriter rounds are really fun and Braydon is a great guy, so I'm looking forward to it.
There might be a few more things by the end of the month, so be sure to follow on the socials or check the shows page.
If your anxiety keeps you looking too far ahead (IYKYK), there is a placeholder on the calendar for a release show in July, and we'll be up in Wyoming in September. More things appear on the calendar every week.
One thing that's been on my mind this week is the moon mission. I was actually alive the last time we were doing this, and I can remember seeing one of the last missions on tv when I was a kid. So that was rattling around in my head and this song came out. If you were wondering what a fresh new song sounds like, here ya go. I kinda like it.
In the meantime, I'm gonna go finish trimming some trees in the driveway so my wife can get out of her side of the garage without trashing her car.
See ya out there- JS
