‘Tis the Season- Happy Holidays and Thanks for Your Support!

Ah, ’tis the season. That season when all the artists post their Spotify numbers on social medial using little animated graphics made by Spotify for that purpose. So basically free advertising for a soulless corporate machine whose leader constantly denigrates the people who make the product his company sells.

Don’t mistake me. My music is on Spotify and I hope you listen if Spotify is where you get music. My music is also everywhere else, so if you decide you’d like a) better audio quality, and b) to support your favorite artists in a more meaningful way, try Tidal. Subscriptions are about the same, the library is about the same, the sound quality is noticeably better, and they pay artists significantly better without trash talking them at the same time. Just sayin’.

But in the spirit of these holidaze, I give you my very own ‘wrapped’ for the year. Which is both more accurate, and I hope, more entertaining.

We’re pretty much shut down until the new year right now. I’m playing a song at my friend Dave Coile’s show on Sunday night in Longmont (you should go- it’s gonna be awesome), then I’m traveling with my fam for a few weeks. So I hope whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year is good for you and yours.

In the new year there will be new music, new merch, and a whole run of shows. So make sure you’re following me where ever it’s convenient for you. If you aren’t into social media (good for you!) BandsInTown is a great platform for following musicians.

And in this end of year time, know that I really appreciate every single stream, comment, share, post, dollar in the tip jar, merch purchase, and word of encouragement. Thanks to you all!

Happy Holidays. Be safe and well. – JS
